The World Series: A Celebration of America's Baseball Championship chronicles over 100 years of history. Created to honor the 100th anniversary of the modern World Series, the exhibit runs on three independent computer kiosks.
The electronic exhibit contains over 1,000 artifacts, photos, and video and audio clips, as well as World Series records, statistics of every series game, team rosters, and highlights from each series. All of the items come from the collection of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Ideum worked closely with the Hall of Fame to develop the graphic look and interface for the exhibit. Ideum programmed the exhibit to make it extensible; future series, new artifacts, text, and media elements can easily be added by Hall of Fame staff. The exhibit was developed using Macromedia Director and Macromedia Flash with XML (extensible markup language).
